On january of 2011 I sign up for training sessions here on golds gym on Commerce california. I had told the trainer that i wanted 8 sessions, so the total was going to be 200 dollars. But the next month the trainer told me that the gym policy is that when you sign up for sessions it is for a MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS. So i end up accepting it and i paid for the 24 sessions for a total of 600 dollars. By may I was done with all my sessions, but the the trainer told me something that got me very angry. He said that he had made a mistake and instead of putting me in 3 months he put me in 6 months. So it would not be 600, but 1200. So i would own 600 dollars more. I told him to please get me out of this and he said OK I WOULD. I did not step back until like 3 months later and i spoke to him and he did not do anything. He said he couldn't and all he could do is offer me a job at the gym because I was unemployed. ( And I still am) But at the end he said that he would speak to the personal trainer manager at Redondo beach Ca and get me out of the system. I never called back until now and i found out the trainer had quit and left to west covina, and i was send to collections. I am just a 21 year college student with no money, and i don't want to pay for something i did not want!. This is highly unethical and i was scammed by the trainer. I was going to send a letter, but i never did because i thought the trainer would fix the problem. I was even concerned about him of losing his job if i would do that! I trusted that guy and now i am in a hole because of it. Not only that but the dam monthly fee is 40 dollars, so i am assuming i owe about 900 dollars eight now. JUST RIDICULOUS AND UNETHICAL. Also i haven't received any letters or phone calls by collection agencies yet so i dint know if the process has just started. By the way the trainer that i had was actually the manager of the personal trainers in the gym, but like i said he quit.
